ADAS has recorded three positive doping cases in July:
1) Nemanja Ilic (American football), a member of the club “Imperatori Niš”, doping positive on Carboxy-THC, a prohibited substance in Group S.8 of the Prohibited list. Test has been conducted on 06/20/2015, at semi-finals in American football, in Belgrade. Serbian Association of American Football temporarily suspended the athlete on 07/16/2015. The suspension will last until the final decision.
2) Marcus Darell Williams (basketball), at the time of testing a member of basketball club Red Star, has been doping positive on Carboxy-THC, a prohibited substance in Group S.8 of the Prohibited list. Test has been conducted on 12/06/2015, at the final play-off in Belgrade. As the athlete’s contract with BC Red Star has expired in the meantime, and he is no longer under the jurisdiction of the Basketball Association of Serbia, further prosecution case was taken over by FIBA. Regarding connection with the allegations in the press that this is Marcus Darell Williams’ second positive result for marijuana, as he already tested positive earlier while playing in China, ADAS spoke to FIBA and the Chinese national Anti-Doping Organization CHINADA and we received information that an athlete who was tested positive in China were Markus Eliot Williams, therefore for Marcus Darrell Williams this is the first anti-doping rule violation.
3) Nenad Jeremic (motorsport), doping positive on clenbuterol, a banned substance from the group S.1. of the Prohibited list, as well as the carboxy THC, a prohibited substance from the group S.8 of the Prohibited list. The athlete was tested at the National Championships in motor sport, in Krusevac on 06/28/2015 and Moto Association of Serbia has provisionally suspended Nenad as of 07/23/2015. The suspension lasts until the final decision.
