Appeal against the decisions of the Trotting Federation of Serbia rejected

Equestrian club “Careva Cuprija” from Belgrade, through a attorney, filed a appeal to the Anti-Doping Board against the decisions of the Trotting Federation of Serbia, which punished responsible persons: Zoran Tasic (1/2020) for violation of the anti-doping rule – doping positive result of horse Jimmy Oaks for a prohibited substance ibuprofen ; Mihajlo Kuzmanov (2/2020) for violating anti-doping rule – doping positive result of horse Bobina Photo for a prohibited substance cannabidiol; and Djordje Brzovan (3/2020) for violating the anti-doping rule – doping positive result of horse Utsuri de Gerberoy for a prohibited substances cannabidiol and cannabidiolic acid. As this club does not belong to the persons authorized to file a appeal, in accordance with Article 27 of the Law on the Prevention of Doping in Sport (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 111/2014) and Articles 73 and 78 of the Rules on Determination of Responsibility of Persons which violated the anti-doping rules, the Chairman of the Anti-Doping Board dismissed the appeal as being filed by an unauthorized person. According to Article 27 of the Law, a appeal can be filed by 1) the Director of the Anti-Doping Agency; 2) competent international sports federation; 3) World Anti-Doping Agency; 4) sports organization to which the athlete or other person belongs; 5) the organizer of the sports competition at which the doping control was carried out; 6) competent national sports federation; 7) the owner of the doped animal; 8) Athlete or other person suspected of having violated the anti-doping rule, or who has been sentenced for violating the anti-doping rule.
